More power for dough transport

For decades, Huober Brezel has been synonymous with traditional baking at the highest level. The production of the finest crispy pretzels requires not only craftsmanship, but also reliable technology. Huober now relies on Blickle's innovative ErgoMove electric drive solution for the internal transport of heavy dough kettles, creating ergonomic and efficient working conditions for employees in dough production.

Large quantities of dough are processed every day in the Huober Brezel production hall. Due to an expansion in production, transport distances became longer and the quantities of dough larger. At the same time, it should still be possible for individual employees to move the vats without physical strain. The heavy kneading dough vats – with a total weight of up to 700 kg – must be manoeuvred reliably between several stations. The classic standard castors used previously reached their limits under the new requirements. The effort required to move and position the vats was enormous. It was clear to the management that a solution was needed that would both improve ergonomics and increase efficiency in the manufacturing process.

Blickle provided the answer to these challenges with the ErgoMove 1000 electric drive system. In close cooperation with the system integrator, the existing six boiler transport trolleys were converted to the new system. In addition to the drive, the ergonomic cockpit with integrated force sensors is impressive – for safe and intuitive handling without any effort.

Thanks to ErgoMove, employees benefit from noticeably more ergonomic working conditions. Manual effort is almost completely eliminated, which not only protects health but also increases satisfaction. The solution also pays off economically: with the drive support, heavier loads can be transported over longer distances – an important prerequisite for successful production scaling. Intuitive operation ensures quick familiarisation and smooth everyday processes.
